Olympic Information ....

The Olympic rings were first used by Baron Pierre de Coubertin in 1914. In the Olympic there were only 10 sports but now there is a big difference. And the difference is that there is more than 20 sports in the Olympics, wow!.

The olympic symbols represent the five continents which are Africa Asia, Europe , America, and Australia . The ring colors are blue, yellow, black, green, and red which represents each colour on the flags, like south africa is green, and Australia is blue ,Black is New Zealand, ANd red is Egypt. And last of all Yellow is Europe

because each flag of the countries that were part of the Olympic movement contain at least one of those colors.

The 5 rings interlock with each other to stay put.

London Olympic

With 4 more days to go for the Olympic we have been talking about it. When Will it start well the London SUmmer Olympics will be held in ENgland, In a area called Great Britain.

The Opening Ceremonies of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games will start July 27th. The Ceremony will mark the beginning of the 30th Olympics.

The Closing Ceremony will bring the London 2012 Olympic Games to an end on a high with a dazzling performance. I think.

The motto of these olympic event is inspire inspiration! We can always achieve the Olympics.

Modern Pentathlon .

 This is a sport that Pt England dose not know about. Look through my slide's as I tell you about this new Sport.

2012 Olympic.

With the 2012 Olympics approaching we have been learning about Equestrian is usually called  horse riding. But in other ways you can also so say Equestrian .

It takes a great deal of talent, know-how and training to win in equestrian sporting events. In order for you to play this event you will need a horse some knee pads helmets and some protective gear.

In order for you to win  you have to practise and practise and if you practice 3 times a day that will make you perfect and a gold medal performance.

Show jumping is a exactly like equestrian. this came into force in England this started in the 18th century.   

The horse made its first appearance at the first Olympic Games in 680.
this Olympic game was  the most exciting and spectacular event ever.

The Equestrian forced into the olympics in the 1912. This was one of the most spectacular Olympics out of the the 18 centuries.

First of all you will need to protect yourself so here a some stuff that you need .helmet, boots for you, a saddle, a bridle, boots for the horse, and most importantly, A HORSE! FOr space you will athe need a track or an stiline.

For Horse riding you will need these thing to become successful  , kindness, being trustworthy, thoughtfulness and a desire to 'give' rather than to always 'get.' My goal is to always be truly kind and helpful in all interaction.

A horse has to be at least nine to be in the equestrian olympic event!
Equestrian is the only sport when men and women compete against each other.The cross-country course in Eventing is between 5,700 and 6,840m long.

Olympic Rings Mosaic

Mosaics can be images you create with small pieces of coloured cardboard, glitter, or other materials. Some Mosaics are usually made by small pieces of glass or coloured stone. Today in Room 17 we made a Mosaic out of Cardboard, glitter, materials and paper.

The image we had to do were The Olympic Rings. The reason why we did this was because our Inquiry is about The London Olympics 2012.

After all our pieces were finished and we put it together and it became the Five Rings of the Olympic Games. There was one piece missing and that was part of the green as you can see.


Overall, I had a great time creating our mosaic! Doesn't it look fantastic?

Immersion Assembly .

Every term our whole school will have a topic to study and find facts  about. At the beginning of each term, our school runs an Immersion Assembly.

It was great a start to the term. As we entered the hall for our Immersion Assembly we noticed that the teachers were dressed up in costumes. There were runners securities and a Princess. Do you know what our Inquiry is ok you guest. It was the London 2012 Olympics.

One of my favourite topic was BIGGER better FASTER stronger. The reason why this is because this topic was the most fun topic I ever had. But this term the London Olympic has came in first.

When a Familt member leaves ....

Some people come into our life and quickly go away. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our harts. But saying Good-bye is't the hard part the hard part is when the memories just don't erase them self.

Today was the sad d's day of my life. Today my cousin that was like a sister to me left New Zealand to go to Australia. I cried and cried as I saw them walk out the door. Hugging and Hugging. I told her that she will always be in my hart and the kids as well. I cried as I walked out the door of the Airport........
