CyberSmarts Reflection - W9T3

The term is slowly coming to and end, and so is our CyberSmarts session. During the 9 weeks of having Cybersmart session, it has taught not only myself but my fellow friends a lot of values and things in order to be safe online. Being CyberSmart is and very important value that should be taught in everyone's life. One thing that I have learn't from Miss Kyla, is the importance of keeping private things private, and that number/emails/full names, shouldn't be shared online.

Bang On Time - Maths

Today in maths, our focus was to learn the Analogue time. We had question that were pretty straight forward, after our question we had a follow up activity this activity gave us 10 question and 8 seconds to answer. 

Smart Surfing - Ms Kyla

Today for maths, we had Ms Kyla in to learn about Smart Surfing. We were given the task to find information using key words. In the presentation above, we were give 10 question where we had the find the key words in searching. 

Ratio Practice - Week 5

This week, for maths we have been learning to Show what strategy we have used to solve each ratio problem. In the presentation above it shows the different question and the different ways we solve ratio problems.

Today in maths we had Miss Kyla in for the first half of the session. This weeks session was on cyber smart, and how everything online can be seen by everyone everywhere. Our hands on, project was to create a DLO, that explained one of the key things we picked up from a video we watched. Above is the poster I made.

Number of the Week - Week 5

Every week our Maths Class, get the opportunity to on the Number of the Week. Number of the week is when a number between 0 - 2000 is selected. Then we learn to use and think about this number in many different ways. The number for this week is : 1508.

Today in Maths Class we have been learning about the volume of 3D shapes, in the presentation there are a few questions about the Width , Height, and Length. Our formula that we used was L x W x H, which meant Length x Width x Height.

This week and last week our maths class has been focusing on the Area and Perimeter of shapes.

Cyber Smart Values.

On Wednesday our Maths group are privileged to have the lovely Miss Kyla in our block and teach us about what Cyber smarts is! Last week we viewed a video about the Spaghetti Farm, we realized that the movie was a whole lie.

 This week we had the task to create a drawing with the 3'Ps as a online value, in each column it states how we can Participate, how we can Partnership and protect other online! Above is what we all came up with!

Cyber Smarts - Maths

Today in class for maths, Miss Kyla came and took a Cyber Smarts lesson. We Learn't that most things on social media isn't true it may be false. We watched a video which was based back in the 80's about Spaghetti, in the beginning I stated that the Video is true, but as the video went further more into the story, I was false. The Video was false. 

Converting units of measurement!

This week in Maths, we have been focusing on Converting units of measurement. Our teacher Miss Peato, gave us a range and bunch of numbers and meters to change into centimetres and centimetres into meters 

Kiwi Sport - Basketball

In Kiwisport this term, we are learning how to play Basketball. So Far, we have learnt how to dribble the ball. Chelsea was able to dribble the ball 58 times.

Elizabeth could only dribble half that amount.

Semi could dribble the ball 7 times more than Chelsea.

Izac could dribble the ball 3 times more than Elizabeth.

How Many Times can each person dribble the ball?

Hexagons!

This week we have been given the task to create an DLO, which shows information about our Maths Groups, I am in Hexagons! I created a form and put specific questions that was given to us from Miss Peato. I sent it to my fellow mates in my group and from there I got responses. With the amount of responses I got back, I was lucky enough to collate the data and make a presentation out of it!
