Olympic Rings Mosaic

Mosaics can be images you create with small pieces of coloured cardboard, glitter, or other materials. Some Mosaics are usually made by small pieces of glass or coloured stone. Today in Room 17 we made a Mosaic out of Cardboard, glitter, materials and paper.

The image we had to do were The Olympic Rings. The reason why we did this was because our Inquiry is about The London Olympics 2012.

After all our pieces were finished and we put it together and it became the Five Rings of the Olympic Games. There was one piece missing and that was part of the green as you can see.


Overall, I had a great time creating our mosaic! Doesn't it look fantastic?

Term Two Reflection

Term Two Reflection

Reading: I am a enthusiastic girl so I like to share my work on a Presentation or a Blog post. But this term I have been learning to show my work in different ways. But this term I have been working on getting better at reading book one of my goals for reading was to read at a age 12. And that has came true. In reading I haven't been completing my tasks properly so this year I will make sure that I will work on my reading. Next term I need to improve in my reading and not rush because if I rush all the time the audience wouldn't know what I’m talking about.

Writing: This term my goal is to work hard and achieve in writing!. Overall this term I feel amazed, because we have learned so many new stuff. But over the past few terms I have been awesome writing. But I really need to work one my sentence beginnings. Next term I need to work on my sentence beginning. So when I published it people will really be interested in it.

Maths: Having maths is fun. Especially learning new strategies like Tidy Tens and Comparisons. Once our maths is finished we do something called Practice Sheet.But sometimes maths is s hard for people but not for me maths is like the easy’s subjects out of reading writing and Multimedia. This term I haven’t been completing my Practice sheets properly so I am working on having the habit to always do Practice sheet. I need to improve in doing my Practice sheets and having the habit of doing it all the time.

Multimedia/ICT: This term I have learnt that it better to rub a little bit out than all of it. I did well in my time laps of my face. I have also been learning how to make movies and edit it myself . I haven’t been on multimedia that much so I haven’t been much about my animation. Next term I have to improve on making movies and editing my own work

 Roy Lichtenstein is a pop art painter. His paint is called The Ben Day Dots if you have time search up BEN DAY DOTS and you will know what I am talking about....

PES Art Galley ...

An art gallery or art museum is a building or space for the exhibition of art, Usually visual art.But today we went to a Art Gallery where children made their own paintings.

1. With over a decade of experience, the Pt Englander Students Opened up a Art Gallery for Children as a Art Centre.
2. Today the student of Room14 went to the hall to see an exhibition. Exhibition's a usually painting that famous people make such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Picasso, but today these painting were made by the student at Pt England School. We were so thrilled to see painting's inspired by lots of cool artists.  
3. While waiting outside I tried to peek at the back to see what is was like. The main Instruction was to not touch any of the paintings. Then Miss Ouano lead us into the Art Galley it really looked like one. 
4. One of my favourites paintings was room 10's Painting. Their artists looked really funky. I like the way how they added glitter to their work to add more detail.

Art Reflection Two

Your Task: To paint your photo using the colours you have chosen. Use your final draft to help you figure out what four colours you need for your backgrounds.

1. How do you feel about the work you did? Why?
I have this feeling that someday my painting and my art will be famous for the first time. Why ? I hear you ask the reason why I said that is because I really feel confident about my artwork.

2. What do you feel that you did well? Why?
Mixing colours was really hard but I managed to get my colours sorted and get going with my work. Feeling really successful I think that my art will be a hit.

3. What do you feel you did not so well? Why?
During My painting my artwork I got that feeling that was alone. The wrong I did was that I used more colour than water. Why? I got this feeling because I had did a mistake and thought I was the only one.photography

4. What would you do differently next time? Why?
Next time I will try to not freak out and not try be alone because the more I keep being like that the more I make mistakes . I have really learnt from my mistakes and next time I will take charge

Art Reflection One

Your Task: To complete a draft for our Pop Art. You must make sure you count all the colours you need and plan what colours you are going to invert before you colour. We need to make a draft so that we know exactly what colours we use when we start our screen printing.

How do you feel about the work you did?

I felt happy afterwards because I put a lot of effort into it. And also I got to take a break of it. It was really tiring.

What did you do Good?

Choosing colors was hard but I managed to get sorted, and get going with my work.

What did you do Bad?

Panicking and rushing I accidentally chose the wrong colours and and stared to scribble. I felt bad for myself.

What would you do differently next time?

I would take charge and chose carefully about the things I do next time. Also I would put some fun into my colouring and have fun.
